Daily Classroom Procedures
• Students enter the room and sit in the proper sit immediately
• Students sit quietly waiting for further instructions
• Students wait for teacher to give the Ok for instrument assembly
• Students get into Rest Position after instrument assembly and await further instructions
• Students refrain from playing their instruments, including “testing it to see if it works”
• All students participate in classroom activities
• Students quickly yet carefully disassemble instruments and place the instrument in the appropriate locker
• Students will demonstrate responsibility by locking their lockers
• Students will report to their next class immediately without delay

Performances
• Student performances are mandatory. Student eligibility does not alter participation or attendance. This is an extension of the classroom.
• UIL and other contests require students to meet eligibility requirements.
• Students wear the appropriate attire.
• Students are punctual and prepared with all materials in hand.
Rehearsals
• Before school and after school rehearsals may be necessary to maintain a certain level of proficiency. Student attendance is required.
Band Uniform
• Advanced Students will wear the Band Uniform Warm-up Suit
• Beginning Students will wear the Band T-Shirt and Khaki Pants
• Drumline Students will wear the Drumline Uniform Warm-up Suit

• Students will come to class prepared with required materials.
• Students will participate in classroom activities.
• Students will demonstrate effective listening skills.
• Students will demonstrate a level of respect and courtesy to all.

• Students will practice instruments outside of regular band class.
• Students will keep the Band Hall clean and orderly.

Goals
• Participate in All District/Region/City, River City Festival, UIL, DC Festivals, Middle School Night(s), and perform in more concerts.
• Increase student enrollment through campus outreach for displaced band students who are in READ180, AVID, Math Elective Class, Science Elective Class, etc
• Increase student enrollment by recruiting students who are not in any musical fine arts class
• Rebuild the D2 with new dedicated members
