Dobie is a No Gum Campus. This means gum is not allowed at any time.
Food is to be eaten in the cafeteria. There are consequences for students who chew gum.

Attendance is mandatory in the State of Texas.
Please make every effort to attend classes daily.
Students who are absent must submit a signed note from a parent to the Attendance Clerk, Ms. Hoose.
Students will excessive absences and tardies may end up in truancy court.
List of Excused Absences:
1. Medical (requires written doctor's note)
2. Religious Holy Day (observation of Holy Day)
3. Court Appearance (court related activities)
4. College Campus Visit (senior visiting colleges)
5. Citizenship Activities (naturalization, etc.)
8. Military Dependent (deployment, etc.)
7. Pre-Approved Reason (principal approval)

TARDY POLICY
Students must have a signed agenda for tardiness.
There are consequences for students who are tardy to class.Please contact the grade level teams for policy.
What is Truancy?
Truancy is when a student is not attending the class in which he/she is assigned without the teacher of record's permission or knowledge.
When a student leaves class or campus without permission that is considered truancy.

The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) includes student name, address, student email address, telephone number, grade level, picture, participant in school activities or sports, award winning ceremonies, previous schools attended, and enrollment status.
If you do not wish to have any of this information released (i.e. yearbook), please check off the appropriate box on the Student Registration and Data Verification Form found in the orange packets that was given out on the first day of school.
